Volunteer as part of an internship for 4 months - 2023

EKL welcomed me for 4 months at the beginning of 2023. I could never have imagined the incredible human adventure that awaited me there. My encounter with the EKL charity is one of those "happy coincidences". The right meeting, the right time, the right place. Any change in any of these variables would have led to a different experience... and I wouldn't change any of them!  

This marvellous experience was conditioned in particular by my mission booklet, which was personalized to take account of my aptitudes and preferences. The charity attaches great importance to providing each volunteer with a mission tailored to his or her profile and objectives.  

Secondly, I was only able to carry out the various tasks assigned to me thanks to the total trust placed in me and the support of the local team Their warm welcome and caring attitude, as well as their willingness to listen, played a major part in making this internship unique.

Finally, the children... I'll remember each of their names, their stories and, above all, the profound life lessons they taught me. Although not without their challenges, these months were filled with smiles, courage, hope and unconditional happiness.

This experience and those with whom I shared it inevitably helped to shape the person I am today. I've taken with me the lessons I learned there, and hold close to my heart the memories I created. EKL has changed my life, and it could change yours, so don't hesitate and embark on the adventure!
